Getting Started with Photo Supreme's Integrated HTTP Server
Verify the Setup
- On the server computer, confirm the HTTP Server panel says STOP and the local page loads. Confirm
/config.jsonis served as valid JSON. - Sign in through the intended user-facing address as an ordinary catalog user.
- Check catalog browsing, a search, thumbnails, a full image, and an allowed download. Test video and uploads only if those features are intended.
- Sign out and use a private browser window to check that private catalog data is not accessible without authorization. Separately review deliberate shares.
- Test a refresh of a shared page and any generated direct-image link.
- From another permitted device, confirm that both API addresses work. Use a device outside the LAN only if remote access is deliberately configured.
- For a reverse-proxy setup, confirm the backend port cannot be reached directly from an unauthorized computer or from the Internet.
- Check browser developer tools for mixed-content, certificate, CORS, and failed media requests. Check the proxy and application logs without disclosing tokens.
- Test the documented restart procedure. Confirm the server becomes available again after application restart, catalog sign-in, and proxy restart as required.
